Spring
Jackson Hole can be colorful in the spring, although the snow will likely still be melting in many areas. If you want to travel to Jackson in the spring, ideally wait at least until Mid-May to ensure roads and trails are open.

Summer
Summer in the Northern Rockies can be paradise with daytime temperatures typically in the 70's and low 80's and relatively low humidity. Summer is also the peak tourism season. Traveling with Wilder guides will ensure you avoid the crowds.

Fall
The fall presents a beautiful display of colors as well as comfortably cooling temperatures. September through mid-October can pleasant, plus you'll witness the male elk bugling at twilight, signaling their virility to the female elk.

Winter
Traveling to Jackson Hole in the winter is usually confined to December through March, when the snow has established a base layer on the ground. Winter is a spectacular time to visit as you'll get a chance to spot the elusive grey wolf and see other wildlife emerge as the human traffic is minimal.

Does my team need to be physically fit?
Jackson Hole is perfect for groups with mixed interests and fitness levels. Fly fishing, river floats, wildlife viewing and many other activities do not require a minimum level of fitness, while experiences like skiing, hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking can excite the most active adventurer.

Jackson Hole Airport is located within the Grand Teton National Park, a short drive to the town of Jackson. Alternatively, flying into Bozeman, Montana, allows you to enter Yellowstone through the north entrance.

What's the ideal group size?
Jackson Hole can accommodate small to large groups comfortably as there are a number of lodging options. When traveling into Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, Wilder will divide into smaller teams to give a more personal experience and to give your group flexibility.
